Food and Agricultural Product Technology Student Association (KMTPHP)

Founded on May 2, 1986, the Food and Agricultural Product Technology Student Association (KMTPHP) is an internal student organization at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. It serves as a platform for organizational learning and is known for its maroon uniform, which members wear every Thursday.

The KMTPHP 2025 leadership carries the name “Virya Samsara” Cabinet as a significant step in continuing the journey toward a brighter future.

The vision of KMTPHP is to become a synergistic organization that actively moves forward while serving as a platform for TPHP students to grow and spread positive impact, upholding the spirit of togetherness and kinship.

To realize this vision, we have several missions, namely:

To establish KMTPHP as an organization that values kinship and solidarity by strengthening internal relations among its members.
To serve as a platform for developing the potential, talents, and interests of each member.
To carry out programs that spread positive impact as a form of community service.
To increase KMTPHP’s public recognition by building collaborations with external parties.

KMTPHP consists of a president, a secretary general, two secretaries, two treasurers, five departments, and two bureaus, each with specific roles and programs:

Department of Academic Professionalism focuses on developing students’ academic and professional skills through programs such as internship sharing sessions, PATalk, question bank collections, tutoring for odd and even semesters, and job preparation workshops.
Department of Talent and Interests provides a platform for students to explore and develop their talents, both in food technology and other fields, through Foodblast (a cooking competition), Bakmi Movie (movie night for KMTPHP members), and Sport Art Week/Wisdom Day (sports and arts competitions among TPHP students).
Department of Press and Information serves as KMTPHP’s media and information hub, providing insights on food policies and issues through Foodescribe magazine, KMTPHP activity albums, food journalism week, and food-related posters.
Department of Career and Entrepreneurship supports career development and entrepreneurial learning while also serving as a funding source for KMTPHP. Its programs include UMKM visits, entrepreneurship competitions, merchandise and class uniform sales, and business projects.
Department of External Relations builds KMTPHP’s public image and external partnerships with both internal and external organizations. Its key programs include university and department visits, yearbook publication, high school expos, and the faculty fair.
HMPPI Bureau is involved in food-related initiatives and is part of the Indonesian Student Association for Food Awareness (HMPPI) regional network. Its programs include food-related day celebrations, regional and national HMPPI meetings, food seminars, and a community development project focusing on goat milk products.
Bureau of Cadre Development and Family Affairs ensures internal harmony and maintains KMTPHP’s regeneration system through activities such as GASIK (KMTPHP bonding event), staff tracking, KMTPHP Expo, open recruitment, social gatherings, member appreciation, and an appreciation night.
