Alumni

The Gadjah Mada University Alumni Family (KAGAMA) is an organization that brings together alumni of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) to contribute to national development. KAGAMA was officially established on December 18, 1958, in Yogyakarta, coinciding with UGM’s Dies Natalis, following a series of discussions and deliberations among alumni since 1956. The organization was founded with the primary goal of providing solutions to various national challenges, in line with the spirit of UGM’s founders as the first university established after Indonesia’s proclamation of independence. From the beginning, KAGAMA has upheld the values of unity, innovation, and community service.

KAGAMA’s vision and mission align with UGM’s, aiming to be a modern, innovative, and excellent alumni organization while upholding the principles of Pancasila. KAGAMA’s commitment to supporting national development is reflected in strengthening independence, leadership, and national identity. Beyond being an alumni network, KAGAMA actively contributes to cultural preservation, national awareness, and addressing various social and economic challenges in society.
